It’s so hard when I have to, and so easy when I want to. ~Annie Gottlier
I love this quote and it SO TRUE. Attitude is everything. Let me repeat, attitude is everything. In every aspect of your life, attitude is everything. If you want a great marriage, attitude is everything. If you want to be a great parent, attitude is everything. If you want to be a good friend and have more friends, attitude is everything. If you want a lean body and more confidence, attitude is everything. Why? Because your ATTITUDE will affect how you approach the situation. For example, if you have a horrible, complaining, and hateful attitude towards eating healthy and working out then odds are you will not put in the best effort towards it. Or, you will just do it because you know you have to and your heart won’t be in it. So if you aren’t where you want to be, might I suggest a good old fashioned attitude check?
How are you approaching life right now? Joyful? Cynical? Lazily? Fearful? Remember this, what you sow you will reap. What you focus on you will get more of and guess what? You have 100% CONTROL OF WHAT YOU FOCUS ON. Focus knowing that:
Your attitude will determine your thoughts.
Your thoughts will determine your words.
Your words will determine your actions.
Your actions will determine your character.
Your character will determine your legacy.
My friend, life is too short for you to walk around angry, pessimistic, cynical, with a sour patch face all the time. TRUST ME. I have wasted much of my precious time on this earth behaving that way and I regret it. I started noticing that no one wanted to be around me and I didn’t understand why until I sat down with myself and said: My attitude sucks. This must change.
So how do you change it? First, you forgive whatever and whoever you need too. Do it or you will be miserable. Second, mediate on what is lovely, true, noble, and praiseworthy. Find SOMETHING that is good and focus on that.
Lastly, count your blessings and PRAISE GOD that you have air to breathe and a heart pumping blood in your chest. If you are alive then you have something to be thankful for. Think about that.
